About the Presenters
Randy Bennett is Vice President of Technology and Operations for Leistritz Advanced Technologies Corp. Bennett has been working with screw pumps and pump systems at Leistritz since 1994. He is responsible for all technical and production related activities including design, purchasing, project management, technical support, fabrication and assembly, quality control, document control and service. Before that, Bennett was with General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division, in Groton, CT, supporting the nuclear research submarine NR-1 as a mechanical systems engineer. Bennett has a BME from the University of Delaware and an MSME from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is the chair of the Rotary Positive Displacement Pump Section with Hydraulic Institute and was awarded the HI Member of the Year award in 2013. He is a committee member for API 676 and API 688, and is also a member of ASME and NACE.
Ken McQuesten is the Technical Service Support Manager at LEWA-Nikkiso America Inc. (LNA), having direct responsibility of LNA’s Aftersales Business. Ken has three (3) Technical Customer Service Advisors / Technicians as direct reports geographically supporting service activities in United States, Canada, Mexico and the Northern Cone of South America. Ken has 38 years of experience with Reciprocating Diaphragm and Plunger pumps used in customized packages for various applications in Chemical, Petrochemical, Industrial, and Oil and Gas markets. Prior to his current position, Ken managed LNA’s North East Regional Sales territory for 16 years, following 8 years as a Sr. Application Engineer. Professional affiliations include Hydraulic Institute – Controlled Volume Metering Pump Standard Committee (CVMP) – November 2001 through today. International Society for Pharma-co-epidemiology (ISPE) 2004 – 2006, and 3-A Sanitary Standards and Committees – Homogenizers and Reciprocating Pumps 1995 – 1999. Ken’s professional pump life includes BIF, a Unit of General Signal Corporation as a Site Liaison / Cost Estimator 1986 -1988, and Chemcon Inc. as a Municipal Project Bid Estimator 1981 – 1985. Prior roles include Design Liaison for the Naval Nuclear training “Mock Up” in Groton, CT, and General Dynamics (Nuclear Submarines) in Groton, CT – Piping and Support Designer.
