EBARA CORPORATION (“EBARA”) donated pumps to Thammasat University in Thailand on November 27 as part of its international cooperation activities through technical guidance. The objective is to deepen their understanding of pump structure, learn how to control them, and so on by experiencing real pumps during the classes.
A pump seminar was held at Thammasat University on the day pumps donated, 100 university students who studied mechanical engineering attended it. During the seminar, a lecture was held centered on basic knowledge of pumps, cavitation and the feature of the water supply pump unit.
EBARA has sought to deepen mutual understanding around the world through international cooperation, including technical guidance. Since the establishment of the EBARA Hatakeyama Memorial Fund (EHMF) in 1989, EBARA has held seminars more than 260 times around the world, and more than 12,000 people in total have attended them. In FY2017, a total of four seminars were held.
Going forward, EBARA will continue contributing to the development of Southeast Asian countries through international cooperation activities such as technical seminars, rather than by merely providing products and services including pumps.
