In almost all factories you can find at least a couple of air-operated double diaphragm pumps. Not always in the heart of the process, and not very visible, but doing their job reliably, day after day. If maintained well, the wearing parts can be replaced at regular intervals and you do not have to worry about the pump. But how do you really get the best out of your double diaphragm pump?
Of course, most important is the selection of the right pump for your application and process parameters. Most of the time everybody thinks that this is a difficult process. In fact, it is not so complicated. If you keep in mind that fluid properties, flow, temperature and pressures are the parameters that are important for a technical selection you can almost do it yourself.
