SUMMARY:Practical Aspects of Foam-Assisted SAGD
DESCRIPTION:Steam-foam has been used extensively in field trials to improve steam conformance\, both for cyclic steam injection and steam flood. It is a proven process and very useful lessons can be drawn from these field trials to plan new projects. However\, foam has not yet been used to improve SAGD (Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage) performances. \nThe presentation provides useful physical considerations on the steam-foam process along with detailed guidelines for the implementation of the Foam-Assisted SAGD process in the field. It will be useful for engineers that are considering foam to improve the performances of SAGD by targeting a reduction of the steam consumption or the Steam Oil Ratio. \nRegister Now!

SUMMARY:CRIN: Acceleware Breakthrough Dialogue
DESCRIPTION:Technical Stream | In partnership with Konstruct Digital\, Energy Now and Empowering Pumps & Equipment \nThis panel will reflect on the value of CRIN as a “network of networks” and how it can help to accelerate development and adoption of technology through mobilizing the hydrocarbon innovation ecosystem. It is a follow up to the Breakthrough Dialogue held last year with Acceleware\, which focused on the requirements for accelerating novel hydrocarbon production technologies. \nMike Tourigny\, VP Commercialization of Acceleware\, will share Acceleware’s story of how engaging with CRIN helped open up doors that led to new opportunities\, new collaborators\, and how it intends to use CRIN going forward to continue work and increase the pace of transformative technology adoption within industry. From their participation in CRIN’s innovation road show in Ottawa in May 2019\, to the June 2019 Breakthrough Dialogue co-hosted by Acceleware and CRIN\, the panel will explore what value has and can be created through a self-led approach to leveraging the network of networks. \nCaralyn Bennett of GLJ\, a newly appointed board member of Acceleware\, will join the panel to share her perspective on the progress Acceleware has made through this approach over the last 18 months\, her reflections on CRIN through her involvement in other CRIN initiatives and collaborations\, as well as her own view of the role of consultancies within the broader ecosystem and how to effectively use CRIN as a tool to advance technologies. \nMatt McCulloch\, the CRIN Novel Hydrocarbon Recovery theme lead and panel host will also share the different ways CRIN has been used to bring unique value to different stakeholders\, as well as what each stakeholder group can do to help the technology acceleration process. He will also unveil the new CRIN report titled “Accelerating Novel Hydrocarbon Recovery Technology”\, which has lessons for all involved in the advancement of clean technology in the hydrocarbon sector.” \nIn this webinar you will learn:\n• How CRIN can be used as a tool to help advance solutions and technologies\n• Real and recent examples of how CRIN has added value to its members\n• What each stakeholder group can do to help the technology acceleration process\n\nRegister now!

SUMMARY:Advances in Automated Methane Detection Using InfraRed Cameras – Cost-Effectively Addressing Remote Monitoring
DESCRIPTION:Technical Stream | In partnership with Konstruct Digital\, Energy Now and Empowering Pumps & Equipment \nIn addressing this new environmental industry requirement\, accurate and reliable methane emission detection and monitoring are key capabilities and are increasingly mandated by regulatory bodies. Unfortunately\, in many cases the current methods such as point sensors and periodic manual inspections are not sufficient to meet the requirements of these policies. \nThe industry’s response to this need is generation of technologies and solutions. This includes recent advances in InfraRed (IR) camera technology and Machine Learning that have provided new and innovative methods to reliably and automatically detect methane and establish continuous and autonomous monitoring of above ground Natural Gas facilities. \nIn this webinar\, you will learn: \n• The growing need\, challenges and key targets of automated methane detection\n• Recent technology advances in Infrared Methane Detection\n• The advantages and practical aspects of deploying a Fixed-Platform\, Intelligent Uncooled Optical Gas Imaging Based Methane Detection System \nRegister now!
