Almatec®, a premier manufacturer of air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps, announced that its E-Series Plastic AODD Pumps are designed specifically to handle and transfer the most dangerous chemicals, including acids, solvents and caustics. The ATEX-rated E-Series, which provides superior containment and safety, will be on display at ACHEMA in Hall 8.0, Stand L79. ACHEMA 2012 is the largest chemical processing trade show in the world, and will be held June 18-22, 2012, in Frankfurt am Main in Germany.
The global chemicals industry is facing stricter regulations, with greater emphasis being placed on identifying and containing chemicals that could potentially pose a threat to human life and the environment. Almatec’s E-Series provides the safe pumping option end-users need to meet those tougher regulations due to its solid-block construction with abrasion-resistant PE and PTFE materials. Almatec’s E-Series Plastic AODD Pump made of PE conductive and PTFE conductive meets ATEX requirements, certifying the pump suitable for use in hazardous environments.
The E-Series features Almatec’s exclusive Perswing P air control system, which offers superior efficiency when comparing flow rate and air consumption needed. This translates into lower energy costs. The E-Series also features no mechanical seals. Rather, Almatec is the only manufacturer to offer stainless steel ring technology as part of its E-Series design to increase protection from leaks by creating a consistent compression around the ring for higher torque.
