Due to the ongoing global public health concerns related to coronavirus or COVID-19, the third biennial Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium (ATPS 2020) will now be held 4-6 August 2020 in the original venue, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
The technical sessions and exhibition will be held Tuesday-Thursday, 4-6 August and short courses will be held on Friday, 7 August.
Leadership of the Turbomachinery Laboratory—host of ATPS—with support of ATPS platinum sponsor PETRONAS, gold sponsor Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., and major supporter the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, determined that shifting the event dates is the best action due to travel concerns for international delegates, as well as impacts to exhibitors’ business.
“The health and safety of our delegates and exhibitors always comes first,” said Dr. Eric Petersen, director of the Turbomachinery Laboratory. “We determined that a reschedule is the best option at this time, and fully expect that, with the support of our industry and leaders, ATPS 2020 will be successful as originally planned.”
Thank you for understanding the circumstances and we look forward to your participation in ATPS 2020 in August.
Updates and answers to questions stemming from the reschedule are answered on the ATPS website at atps.tamu.edu/event-updates/.
