EBARA CORPORATION (hereinafter “EBARA”) held seminars on pump technology on February 15 and 16, 2018 at Myanmar Engineering Society (MES) in Yangon, Myanmar. This was the 11th time EBARA held seminars in Myanmar during these 24 years. Approximately 40 participants attended from government agencies, local governments, and private-sector companies.
Myanmar has been experiencing phenomenal economic growth, with large-scale developments springing up in the largest city Yangon, the capital Naypyidaw and the second largest city Mandalay, resulting in heightened demand for water infrastructure. EBARA Group established a branch in Yangon in November 2015, has been received many inquiries. Seminars participants showed strong interest in issues such as the plan of pump facilities for the water supply system, flood control and sewage improvement.
EBARA has continued to deepen its relationships around the world through the provision of technical guidance and other forms of international cooperation. Since the launch of the EBARA Hatakeyama Memorial Fund in 1989, it has organized more than 260 seminars at different locations around the world, welcoming upwards of 12,000 participants. This year, EBARA is set to give five seminars in locations such as Vietnam and Thailand.
EBARA will continue to contribute to the development of Southeast Asian countries not only by offering pumps and other products and services, but through technical seminars and other international cooperation activities.
