Visit ABB at Booth 542 to see how ABB solutions can help you meet your offshore technology needs with an advance motor portfolio for demanding applications
ABB, a global leader in technology, will showcase its offering for demanding applications at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), May 2 – 5 at NRG Park in Houston.
The Baldor-Reliance® motor showcase will highlight a totally enclosed water-cooled AC motor. The water-cooled motor is versatile, available in both NEMA and IEC frame configurations. The motor runs quiet without the need for a cooling fan, and offers reduced maintenance and high performance in some of the toughest environments. Water-jacketed cooling provides efficient heat transfer extending the life of the motor. Rotor technology can achieve an ultra-premium efficient (IE5) rating for energy savings making this motor more environmentally friendly. This motor also has provisions for the ABB Ability™ smart sensor to be pre-installed.
In addition to the water-cooled motor, ABB will exhibit the company’s Top-Drive drilling motors along with the IEEE 841-compliant solid shaft vertical P-base, 661XL and 841XL severe duty motors. The compact designs of these motors provide more power in a smaller package saving space and weight making it an ideal solution for ship or shore.
