Wanner Engineering designs and manufactures Hydra-Cell Seal-less Pumps to provide performance reliability over a wide range of processing, manufacturing, commercial, and municipal applications. Stan-Cor ANSI centrifugal pumps and Vector peristaltic pumps round out the product line.
With no seals or packing to leak, adjust, or replace, Hydra-Cell pumps reduce maintenance and downtime to help lower operating costs. The seal-less design also means there are no leak paths so hazardous fluids and VOCs are contained. In addition, the hydraulically balanced, the multiple-diaphragm design enables Hydra-Cell Metering Solutions pumps to deliver virtually pulse-free flow that exceeds API 675 standards for Accuracy, Linearity, and Repeatability without the need for pulsation dampeners.
The company was founded in 1972 when the burgeoning car wash industry needed a pump that could provide high-pressure spraying and handle dirty wash water containing abrasive particulates, oil, and other contaminants. William Wanner, Sr. hit upon an idea for a positive displacement diaphragm pump that separated the hydraulic end from the fluid end. Not only was his patented “Hydra-Cell” ideal for car washes, but the unique “seal-less” technology with an expanded range of flows and pressures has also proved a reliable, cost-saving choice for a host of applications such as oil and gas, machine tool coolant, chemical, petrochemical, and polyurethane processing, water and wastewater treatment, power generation, mining, and many others.
In its third generation of leadership, Wanner Engineering is headquartered in Minneapolis with business units in Texas, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Shanghai plus distributors in nearly 80 countries worldwide.
