Patent pending technology allows pump to stall under pressure preventing pump failures from clogged lines or closed valves
In this video presented by Jeff Shaffer, Graco’s Process Marketing Manager, you will see the Graco Husky 1050e electric operated diaphragm pump.
A unique benefit of the patent-pending air charged design is that this electric operated diaphragm pump can be stalled under pressure without being damaged – which is very unique for an electric pump. In fact, the Graco Husky 1050e electric operated diaphragm pump is the only electric diaphragm pump on the market that can do this without any additional sensors.
Watch the video to see how this pump works. In this demo, Jeff closes the ball valve on the outlet of the fluid, which completely stops the flow of fluid. What you will see is that the motor will continue to run, while the diaphragms themselves do not move. This is because the center drive is able to disengage from the diaphragm pulls and not damage anything on the fluid outlet side when that motor is operating. This allows you to open that fluid outlet fully and start fluid flowing again just like a normal diaphragm pump would operate.
