The Europump Technical Commission has just published its guide on condition monitoring. It is available for free on the Europump website.

“We trust that this guide will contribute to a better awareness of condition monitoring in the world of pumps, and that the added value of condition monitoring will benefit both manufacturers and users!” says Jean-Claude Bouricet, Chairman of the Europump Technical Commission, “I thank all Commission members for their input and hard work and especially Giancarlo Cicatelli who did most of the synthesis work.“

The guide highlights the importance of “in-service” monitoring of pumping systems through the description of the main parameters to monitor and the ways to acquire them. It also illustrates how they can be effectively processed and analysed to retrieve valuable information on the status of the equipment under surveillance.

This guide is intended mainly for operations managers of plants or systems, maintenance engineers, sales and procurement officers, with the aim of offering a clear and concise picture of the importance and the complexity of a condition monitoring system in an industrial environment.
