The BJM Model JX pumps are designed for dependable operation in clear corrosives, non-solids pumping applications. All “wetted parts” are non-corrosive 316 stainless steel. Elastomers such as gaskets and o-rings are made of FKM.
The JX motor is shielded from the pumping media by a three seal design. Double mechanical seals and a separate lip seal provide unexcelled protection. The lower seal faces are made of silicon carbide/silicon carbide and the upper seal faces are carbon/ceramic. An additional FKM lip seal has been installed above the impeller to help prevent corrosives from entering into the seal chamber. Winding protection and (NEMA) Class F motor insulation allow motor temperatures to rise to 239°F, superior to pumps with Class A and B insulation. An automatic thermal switch turns the pump motor off if the temperature and/or amp draw rises too high. When the motor cools the switch will automatically reset and the pump will turn back on.
Larger JX models (7.5 and 10HP) utilize two oil seal rings, upper and lower, that ride on a replaceable sleeve that protects the impeller shaft .
Most JX sizes can be converted to a high head version (JX-H) by merely changing the impeller and the suction plate. Other brands often require major changes to achieve different heads or volumes.
The JX55SS and JX75SS models can also be mounted on BJM 316 SS slide rail systems for convenient and easy inspection.
Power cables are extra-long (33 feet) and work very well in most water environments. EPDM cables and elastomers, as well as BUNA elastomers, are also available options.
JX pumps are available in size 0.5 to 10 HP. Single-phase versions are from 0.5 to 2 HP. 50 Hz models can be delivered with the same short lead-time as 60Hz.
Flows range up to 647 GPM with heads to 110 feet. Each pump is factory tested, both for operation as well as safety. Sump Level controls and level control systems are available.
