Graco Inc., a leading manufacturer of fluid handling equipment, has released its new Husky 1050e Electric Operated Double Diaphragm Pump. The Husky 1050e is the only electric double diaphragm pump on the market that will stall under pressure to prevent pump and system failures due to line clogs or closed valves. Featuring a patent pending air charged drive, the Husky 1050e has the ability to virtually eliminate pulsation at the fluid outlet without a pulsation dampener, can stall under pressure without additional switches and controls, and increases diaphragm life without compromising your fluid.
“Many facilities struggle with pump failures and high maintenance costs; whether it be peristaltic, progressive cavity, or other pumping technology,” said Jeff Shaffer, Graco’s Process Marketing Manager. “With the improved technology of the Husky 1050e pumps, you no longer have to worry that clogged lines or closed valves will result in a costly pump repair due to downstream pressure spikes or dry running. The 1050e can provide the ability to increase productivity by reducing down time and costs associated with other types of electric pumps.”
The Husky 1050e is also proven to reduce energy consumption up to 5 times when compared with traditional air operated diaphragm pumps.
“Manufacturing companies have become increasingly interested in electric pumps as a more efficient alternative to air operated pumps,” said Shaffer. “The Husky 1050e was designed to meet the needs of companies that require more efficient pumps to transfer materials without compromising durability and flow-rate.”
Other features include a durable pump technology for handling slurries and abrasives and seal-less pump design that eliminates leaking from the rotary seal that other technologies employ.
“Not only does the 1050e handle slurries and abrasives without damaging the pump, but it also offers gentle pumping for shear sensitive materials,” said Shaffer. “The diaphragm pump design allows dry running and self-priming without causing any damage to the pump, which can cause leaks and require pump rebuilds.”
Graco’s pump technologies offer process solutions for numerous abrasive and corrosive applications and are built for years of reliable service. For more information about the Husky 1050e, please visit www.graco.com or contact your local Graco distributor.
