The new Parker AC10 Micro Drive is a simple, reliable and economical AC motor speed control for 0.25 HP to 30 HP applications. With compact size and features normally only associated with higher specification drives, including sensorless vector mode, output frequency up to 650Hz, and a full 150% overload at 0.5 Hz for 1 minute, AC10 provides an optimized solution for machine builders looking for a compact, cost-effective, UL listed drive without compromising on performance.
The AC30 series provides control of either AC induction or permanent magnet AC motors. Importantly, the series now features an optional pulse encoder feedback module, which allows users to run the drive in closed-loop control. This provides optimization in highly dynamic applications, such as web winding and cranes, where the speed or torque of the motor requires accurate control.
Featuring integrated energy monitoring functionality, the AC30 series facilitates the matching of motor speed to varying application demands, thus reducing energy consumption. This not only saves money, but can extend the mechanical life of motors, pumps, fans and ancillary equipment such as ducting or pipework. Standard conformal coating provides protection in harsh environments.
Despite its simple design, there is no compromise on functionality. Application macros are provided for functions like PID control, pump control, fan control, or preset speeds. Furthermore, its flexible and modular construction enables a wide range of communications, such as Ethernet/IP, CANopen, Profinet, Profibus-DP and EtherCAT to be added easily as required, along with I/O and real time clock modules. Parker PDQ drive configuration software is provided free of charge, and an SD memory card slot on the drive simplifies firmware upgrades and allows drive configuration and data to be easily stored.
