C and C Pumps and Supply Donates $1000 to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Behalf of the City of O’Fallon

Mayor Gary L. Graham is pleased to announce that on Thursday, September 4, 2014, C and C Pumps and Supply donated $1000 to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on behalf of the City of O’Fallon’s team, Beauties and the Beast. This year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk will be held in Rock Springs Park on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.

“I encourage everyone to attend the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk,” said Mayor Graham. “Whether you have been directly affected or not by breast cancer, these types of events do a lot to show the community’s support for helping to find a cure. I also want to thank C and C for donating on behalf of the City’s team, Beauties and the Beast.”

The City of O’Fallon recently purchased two mobile pumps from C and C Pumps and Supply for use in the Public Works Department. After the purchase of the pumps, C and C offered to donate $1000 to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, on behalf of the City of O’Fallon’s team, if the pumps would be painted pink in support of breast cancer awareness.

C and C Pumps and Supply was formed in August of 2013 by Chris Szablewski and Craig Rahlfs. They are a full service company providing coverage for pump needs, twenty-four hours per day, and seven days a week. Owner Chris Szablewski first came up with the idea six months ago to donate $500 per pump sold, if the end user agrees to accept them in pink. C and C offers the end user the choice of which cancer awareness organization they want the donation to go to.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is an opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what can be done to reduce breast cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
