Carver Pump Obtains DNV GL Certification For GH Pump Product Line

Carver Pump, a leading manufacturer of American-made pumps, has obtained DNV GL certification for their line of GH end-suction centrifugal pumps. DNV GL (Det Norske Veritas and Germanischer Lloyd) is a global quality assurance and risk management company that provides classification, technical assurance, and certification to the maritime, oil & gas, power and renewables industries. This certification verifies that the GH line from Carver Pump can be used reliably in marine vessels, such as offshore drilling units, tankers, bulk carriers, passenger vessels, cruise ships, container ships, supply and large fishing vessels.

Having long-term positive partnerships with the Navy’s Military Sealift Command and US Coast Guard, Carver Pump has obtained this DNV GL certification to show their continued commitment to supplying high quality pumps for use in new and existing marine vessels. For applications including bilge transfer, chill water, brine overboard, engine cooling, boiler feed, potable water supply, and wastewater recycling, the GH Series is engineered with all models having a back pull-out design and casings that can be rotated in 90-degree increments for different piping configurations.

Accommodating flows up to 2,500 gallons per minute at pressures up to 520 feet of head and speeds up to 3,550 RPM, the GH Series comes in 28 sizes that can be either frame-mounted or close-coupled. With decades of experience pumping salt water and corrosive fluids, Carver Pump works domestically with US-based foundries to source a variety of alloys and metallurgies to meet the most demanding installations, engineering the GH Line to handle solids content up to 1.250″ with efficiencies as high as 85%.
