EASA Presents Exceptional Achievement Service Award

2022 Honorees Have Been Active in EASA Over 20 Years

The Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) honored David and Carol Griffin of CPM Engineering, Ltd., in Manchester, England as the 2022 recipients of the EASA Exceptional Achievement Service Award.

Established in 1997, this annual award recognizes individuals who have provided exceptional service to the electrical apparatus sales and service industry over a lifetime. “It is the highest honor an individual can receive from our association,” said Linda Raynes, EASA President and CEO. “We view it as our Nobel Prize for achievement and service.”

In announcing the award, Past EASA Chairman Jerry Gray noted, “The EASA award recognizes those who have gone above and beyond in the electrical apparatus sales and service industry, providing exceptional service and demonstrating steadfast dedication. This prestigious distinction is bestowed only to those who go the extra mile and then some in our community.”

“This year’s recipients have been active in EASA for over 20 years. He served eight years on the International Board of Directors – from 2003 to 2011. But it is his commitment to improving the European and World Chapter and functioning as the driving force behind EASA Accreditation that has made a lasting impact and set a standard for many to follow. She helped him make things happen by tirelessly working behind the scenes organizing meetings, collecting money and writing and editing newsletters. He could not have accomplished what he did without her support.”

In nominating David and Carol Griffin for this award, one letter from an EASA member firm read, “Carol and David have been instrumental in driving EASA Region 9 forward. They have provided the backbone of the operation for many years.”

Another read, “During my company’s EASA membership, they have always led initiatives or have been part of committees promoting the interest of both EASA and its members.”

Yet another read, “He (David) is the father and the mentor of EASA Region 9. Always available with a listening ear and with the right advice. We can always count on both of them to guide us through our yearly events.”

And finally, “He (David) was a driving force in the initial years of our chapter, and he was instrumental in putting structure into the European committee. She (Carol) has worked tirelessly behind the scenes as the unofficial secretary for our region.”

Recognized internationally as the leader in the electromechanical sales, service and repair industry, EASA provides an ongoing flow of industry information and education that helps its 1,700 members worldwide enhance their performance and achieve greater levels of success on behalf of their customers. EASA supports its members through its engineering consultation program, industry-specific training, business information, networking activities and exclusive technical resources focused on the sale, service and maintenance of motors, generators, drives, controls, pumps and other electromechanical equipment.
