FSA Appoints Carl Jones to Board of Directors

The Fluid Sealing Association® is pleased to announce the appointment of Carl Jones to its Board of Directors.  Mr. Jones is currently the Global Product Specialist for Packing Fibers Sealant Technologies at W.L. Gore & Associates, a materials technology company based in Newark, DE.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Alabama and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of St. Thomas. With 30 years of experience in the fluid sealing industry, Mr. Jones has a wide array of business experience with positions including Applications Engineering, Territory & Capital Project Sales, Business Development Leader, Strategic Marketing Project Leader, Regional Product Management and Global Product Management with profit and loss responsibility. 
His experience includes leading a global cross functional project team in concept to commercialization of new technology involving development of associated patents.
“We are excited to be able to add Carl as a member to our Board of Directors,” said Mike Shorts, FSA President. “His extensive industry knowledge and great leadership capabilities will add to our existing bench strength and I am very much looking forward to seeing his positive impact on the association.”
Mr. Jones is a long standing member of the FSA.  He currently serves as Technical Committee Chair for the Compression Packing Division and has been active in the FSA since 2010. 
 
Founded in 1933, the FLUID SEALING ASSOCIATION® (FSA) is an international trade association. Member companies are involved in the production and marketing of a wide range of fluid sealing devices primarily targeted to the industrial market. FSA membership includes companies in Europe and Central and South America, but is most heavily concentrated in North America. FSA members account for a majority of the manufacturing capacity for fluid sealing devices in the Americas market.
