Low Pulsation and Smooth Flow Achieved by Electric Operated Double Diaphragm Pump

In this video presented by Jeff Shaffer, Graco’s Process Marketing Manager, you will see the Graco Huskey 1050e electric operated diaphragm pump.

This patent-pending air charged design on the Graco electric diaphragm pump center not only improves diaphragm life, it also reduces outlet pulsation of the fluid without a pulsation dampener. In order to do that, Jeff demonstrates how to put back pressure on the fluid side of the pump. The overriding concept is that back pressure needs to be close to the same pressure as your air charge pressure. What you will see in the flowmeter is the flow go from pulsing to nice and smooth, which is also visible on the outlet side of the fluid.

Watch another video to see the internals of how this unique air charged design works.
