Watch the Husky 1050e Electric Operated Double Diaphragm Pump in Action

In the Operation Demo video shown above, presenter Jeff Shaffer, Graco’s Process Marketing Manager, shows how a Husky 1050e electric operated double diaphragm pump operates with a highly efficient electric motor.

In this demo, the system uses a Graco controller that runs a brushless DC electric motor for increased efficiency. The main difference between a standard diaphragm pump and the Graco 1050e electric operated diaphragm pump is that the latter is powered by an electric motor and a controller similar to a VFD. The controller is used to set the flow output of the diaphragm pump. Instead of adjusting the air pressure or air flow for speed, the speed can be adjusted using the controller to increase or decrease output flow. The Graco electric operated diaphragm pump features a patent pending air-charged center, which provides support to the diaphragms thereby improving diaphragm life. This air-charged center also allows operators to put the pump into low pulsation mode as well as stall under pressure without damaging the pump.
