The Southeast region of the U.S. was strategically chosen due to the market’s density of manufacturing operations and the localized investment by manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, metal, forest products, logistics, and plastics sectors that are driving economic growth for the entire region. In addition, significant developments in biotechnology and life sciences in the region are driving the medtech industry in new directions.

As one of the nation’s burgeoning advanced manufacturing hubs, North Carolina, in particular, is the United States’ fifth largest manufacturing economy contributing $107.1 billion to the state’s GDP, according to a recent report from Governor Roy Cooper. Continued education and industry connection in this region will further spur growth and contribute to the continued advancements of resources, research, and products that have a tremendous impact on the world.

“We could not be more excited to announce the launch of our six co-located trade shows that will bring the full manufacturing and processing communities together in the Southeast,” stated Steve Everly, Group Event Director, IM Engineering South, Informa Markets. “Our exhibitors have been wanting a comprehensive event in this key region to connect and build their customer base, and that need was the catalyst for the launch of IM Engineering South.”

The event will connect more than 4,000 buyers with upward of 350 suppliers to facilitate the exploration of the latest insights and solutions spanning medtech, packaging, automation, plastics, design, and processing. In addition to an expansive expo floor, the conference will feature more than 30 free, expert-led educational sessions bridging hot topics including 3D printing, medtech, packaging, and smart manufacturing.

Notable exhibitors confirmed to date include Air & Water Systems, Arthur G Russell, Beaumont Technologies, BMF, Canon USA, Creaform, Cresent Ind, Japan Steel Work (JSW) America, Kaeser, Compressors, Kahle Automation, LaserLinc, Medical Extrusion Technologies, Medical Murray, NDH Medical, Qosina, Steri-Tek, and THK America.
