A.W. Chesterton Company has released ARC S7 AR, a sprayable, erosion-resistant version of its ARC S7 coating. This state-of-the-art lining is especially engineered for surfaces exposed to condensing flue gas with erosive particulates in gas flow.
“This level of protection can significantly extend equipment life,” says Steve Bowditch, Global Market Development Manager for ARC Efficiency and Protective Coatings. “Less erosion translates to fewer problems and more uptime.”
ARC S7 AR can withstand continuous exposure up to 180C (355F) and repeated thermal cycling, from 20-180C (65-355F), without cracking or dis-bonding. It has exceptional chemical resistance when exposed to organic as well as inorganic acids under wide concentration ranges. When tested under Taber Wear Testing (ASTM D4060), using the most aggressive H18 wheel with 1000 cycles and a 1 kg load, the S7 AR experienced <275mg loss.
Available in two contrasting colors (Light Gray and Dark Gray), ARC S7 AR has a VOC level of 10g/liter, making it a safe and environmentally acceptable option where concern for VOC levels exist.
