SyncroFlo Announces New 2017 Ironheart Production Features

Earlier this year, SyncroFlo announced the new product features for the 2017 Ironheart in an effort to ensure a more consistent and higher quality product.

With over 50 years of experience, SyncroFlo is an industry leading manufacturer of packaged pumping systems. Their installed systems base of over 20,000 packages include some of the largest packaged pumping systems ever built.

The main features of the 2017 Ironheart include silver panel improvements, ASHRAE 90.1 compliance, stainless steel bases, paint improvements, selection software for sizing the VMS products, as well as a two-week lead time. All features listed are available on all present and future orders.

As part of their 2017 launch, SyncroFlo has made a number of changes to their standard program. Many of these changes have come as the result of customer recommendations. These changes include a low-low system pressure alarm to help identify catastrophic system failures, preventative maintenance notifications for items such as VFDs, cooling fans, cooling fan filters, and an additional dry contact for service notifications. These notifications are faults that will hinder your system from proper operation, but will not cause a complete failure. Some examples include: lightning arrestor failure, paddlewheel flow sensor failure, and system pressure transducer failure. An additional silver panel improvement includes a Holiday Economy Mode.

The 2017 Ironheart saves energy by reducing system pressure set point at low flow due to reduced piping friction to overcome. Standard booster pump packages use either estimated flow rate or an optional paddle wheel flow sensor for ASHRAE 90.1 compliance.  Estimated flow rate is determined from the pump curve and pump speed. Stand-alone panels require the use of a paddle wheel flow sensor for ASHRAE 90.1 compliance. Flow totalization (based on either optional paddle wheel flow sensor or estimated flow) is offered as standard.

Ebara Fluid Handling has begun their complete roll out of the EVMSU product. Their website’s selection software will be updated in the middle of Q1, 2017. For now, please use the link to the “Ebara Selection Software” when sizing the Vertical Multistage product. This can be found on the Extranet’s Ironheart Submittal Center page. Please also keep in mind that previous EVMU 18 selections may need to be converted EVMSU 15 or 20 product depending on availability.

For a number of reasons, including corrosive resistance and aesthetics, SyncroFlo has changed to stainless steel bases on the Ironheart product. As such, Ironheart bases will no longer be painted. The goal for all of these changes is to ensure a more consistent and higher quality product, in order to maintain the quality and integrity that serve as the foundation for over-delivering to our clients.
