VMA To Hold Valve Basics Course At Houston Area Safety Council

The Valve Manufacturers Association of America (VMA) will hold its Valve Basics Seminar & Exhibits October 30 – November 1, 2018 at the Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) in Pasadena, TX.

The three day Valve Basics program includes the highly acclaimed “Valves, Actuators & Controls 101” course which features 15 individual lessons designed for an audience of entry level professionals in the valve industry. The HASC is equipped with a state-of-the-art training facility where attendees will enjoy a hands-on learning experience known as the “Valve Petting Zoo”.

Attendees will gain basic level knowledge of: Linear (Multi-turn) Valves, Check Valves, Quarter-turn Valves, Pressure-relief Valves, Electric Actuators, Actuators – Manual & Fluid Powered, Controls – On/Off Panels for Fluid Powered Actuators, Solenoid Valves, Control Valves, Valve Packings & Fugitive Emissions, Valve Materials, Critical Service Applications & Valves, Electric Actuator Asset Management, Feedback & Monitoring, and Valve Repair.

More than 2,000 people have attended VMA’s highly rated Valve Basics courses since the program’s inception in 2009.  This event is open to members and non-members of the VMA. Attendees who would benefit from this conference are entry level industrial valve end-users, EPC personnel, distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and related industry professionals.
